Accounting I  (BUS2001)

Accounting 1 is a year-long elective course for students who have exhibited an interest in and an aptitude for studying business courses. It is an essential course for college-bound students who plan to take business courses in college. It is also a valuable course for any student planning to enter the work world. Accounting is often referred to as the "Language of Business". Within this course, students will learn the basic application of accounting concepts  and complete two business project simulations.  Any student who is planning on majoring in a Business field in college should consider taking Accounting 1 and Honors Accounting 2.

Related and recommended courses:  Business Orientation is usually taken before Accounting 1, but not required.  Accounting 1 is the prerequisite to taking Honors Accounting 2.
