Virtual Enterprises International - VEI (BUS3020)VEI is a unique course that gives students the opportunity to be "hands-on" in a simulated, global business environment. The VE employees (the students) will be involved in the everyday transactions of running their own business: purchasing, sales, marketing, web and graphic design, product development, accounting, human resources, administration and management. It's like having a corporation within the walls of NVHS! This class provides an engaging, fast-paced atmosphere to help you further develop your business and professional skills. VE students gain real-world, valuable skills such as problem solving, decision making, critical analysis, negotiation, teamwork, communication/public speaking, time management, and technology - all while competing with other virtual businesses around the world.
This is a year-long, honors level, weighted and rigorous course for students who have been successful in at least 2 previous business courses. For more information please click on this brief, 5 minute informational video. |

VE was introduced as a capstone course to NV Business in 2012, so each class had the responsibility to create their business from scratch! The founding classes of 2012-2013 left their companies to classes in subsequent years to continue operations. Product lines and all company philosophies and methods of operation are then determined by each new class in each new school year. Due to growth in enrollment, we have had several new companies added at Neuqua!
