Visual Media (BUS1033)

Visual Media is a project based course that introduces students to desktop publishing principles and practices in order to create dynamic designs for business.  Students will examine and practice incorporating the elements of design into projects. Class work will include learning and applying principles of photography, image acquisition and manipulation, design principles, and page layout. Adobe Photoshop will be the primary software.

Students will work individually and collaboratively with local businesses to create authentic projects and practice professional communication. This can include logo design, business sets and various promotional items tailored to a company’s specific target market.
