Internship (BUS3007BL) 2 credit hours
The Internship program is a personalized pathway of authentic work experience in collaboration with local employers and professionals. Students have the opportunity to explore and expand career interests through the following placements:
Job Site Work Experience - Working at a local business (paid work experience).
Entrepreneurial Mentor - Partnering with local professionals on your own business idea.
Professional Internship - Interning with a local business (unpaid shadowing experience). Some options include, but are not limited to:
In-School Experience - Working with programs within Neuqua Valley such as the Student Tech Team, Media Department, Website Development, or Athletics (unpaid).
Students earn one credit for work/experience outside of school and earn one credit for classroom instruction that pertains to work-related and/or career issues. The internship instructor will assist with placement and monitor students’ progress throughout the year. These placements can be combined to create a personalized experience to fit each individual student and their career exploration goals. Early dismissal is NOT a requirement for this program. Students must provide their own transportation.
