Business Education NVHS Alumni Updates
Brandon Fenner - NVHS Class of 2010
Outstanding Senior in Business Education After being nominated as Business Education Student of the Year back in 2010, which I still take tremendous pride in, I knew I was going to move onto great things. Also after seeing my sister recently graduate and attending the ceremony, it brought back a lot of good memories. I hope she moves onto great things given a good foundation attending Neuqua. The reason I am emailing you is because I know you will inform the business department of my current status, assuming you still bring the same energy and spunk to the school! I am also wanting to show further appreciation to the gratitude and commitment I was given as a student by the entire business faculty. So recently I have finished my undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University in Accountancy and am currently enrolled in the masters program. I am taking classes this summer to shorten my schooling, and I look to finish my master's in May of 2015. Throughout my undergrad degree I completed an internship with the accounting firm Grant Thornton during busy season, within the audit department. I had offers with some of the big four firms but they were not as appealing to me as the number five firm (GT). After completing my internship I was asked to come aboard as an employee and signed a contract to start full time in September of 2015. Until then I look to finish my masters then sit for the CPA exam before starting full time employment. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to attended Neuqua Valley. I have had nothing but positive things to say about the school and its staff. |
Megan Thurow - NVHS Class of 2014
Business Orientation was my first business class taken at Neuqua Valley and it was there where I knew my passion was to study business. Throughout my time at Neuqua, I took a multitude of business course including Advertising, Marketing, VEI and many, many more. It was through these classes that I gained valuable opportunities and experiences that not only helped me grow as leader but as person. The Neuqua Valley Business Department has truly helped to prepare me for college and the real business world. |
